What If You Don't Have to Eat Your Vegetables?

I have the palate of a 65-year-old Minnesota farmer.

I love a good roast with mashed potatoes. Throw some gravy on top & I’m basically feral.

Bread? If I need another gravy delivery system to get it from plate to mouth, absolutely.

But vegetables? Necessary evil.

As an adult, I give them space on my plate, mainly due to my preference to avoid minor cardiac infarctions.

But do I plow through that sad medley of steamed broccoli, carrots & cauliflower first so I can just get to the good stuff?

Yes. Yes, I do.

I’m all about delayed gratification.

It’s dessert last.

It’s morning workouts.

And grinding early in your career so you can enjoy it later.

Except…later doesn’t always show up the way you expect.

A lot of clients I work with hit a point where their career feels…fine. Not terrible. Not exciting. Just fine.

And the idea of starting over? Worse.

So you stick with it.

Because at least it’s not steamed cauliflower, right?

But then you start to notice…

The potatoes really have no flavor.

And is it me, or is this roast pretty dry?

And somehow this meal you worked so hard for isn’t actually that satisfying.

It’s like you’re finally grooving in the gravy goodness of the easy life only to find that maybe the potatoes have zero flavor on their own.

And is it me, or is this roast actually dry?

So now what?

What if the options weren’t just:

· choke down vegetables

· or settle for a mediocre meal

What if there were better combinations available?

Like roasted broccoli that actually has flavor.

Or brussels sprouts with bacon, pecans & parmesan (because obviously).

Or something you didn’t even realize you’d like until you tried it?

Now you’re still eating vegetables…but you’re enjoying your meal too.

That’s the shift.

Not more effort.

Not starting over.

Just changing what’s on your plate & how it all works together.

And it’s a lot easier when there’s someone sitting at the table with you, helping you sort through the options.

If your career is starting to feel more like bland meatloaf that something you actually look forward to, we should talk.
